The latest Euro 5 motorcycles are increasingly constrained by emissions-oriented fuel management strategies, therefore the possibility to optimize power delivery becomes a critical aspect for improving rideability and performance. In this context, the synergy between CFMOTO 800MT-X and Rapid Bike Smart2 module represents a relevant example of a valuable intervention for engine parameters fine-tuning without invasive modifications. RAPID BIKE SMART2: THE UPGRADE MAKING A REAL DIFFERENCE

Smart2 modulates the lambda signal to prompt the stock ECU to enrich fueling across the entire power delivery curve, with consistent benefits for overall engine performance.

Power increase is quite evident looking at the dyno graphs: it steps up from 85.3 hp at 7,855 rpm in stock configuration to 89.7 hp at 8,027 rpm with the Rapid Bike Smart2;  this is a gain of approximately 4.4 hp at the wheel together with a slight shift in peak power toward higher rpm. This is the result of improved engine performance at medium-high rpm thanks to accurate management of air-fuel mixture.

Even more impressive is the way the curve becomes fuller and more linear, especially between 4,000 and 7,000 rpm, which is the range widely used in “real-world” riding, both on and off-road. This is the typical scenario where such a bike needs to perform at its best, considering that an adventure model like the 800MT-X is used primarily at lower and medium revs to ensure traction control and smoothness on poor-grip terrain.

This test shows how more advanced electronic fuel management can enhance an engine which is already quite strong like the one fitted on the 2024 CFMOTO 800MT-X.
