DUCATI PANIGALE V2 890 EURO 5+ BECOMES SMOOTHER WITH RAPID BIKE SMART2
MORE PROGRESSIVE POWER DELIVERY TO ENHANCE THE PANIGALE'S CHARACTER
Dimsport’s Rapid Bike team has completed development of Rapid Bike SMART2 for the Ducati Panigale V2 890 Euro 5+. The goal was to optimize engine power delivery and to improve the responsiveness of this Borgo Panigale’ s super-sport bike. On a motorcycle such as Panigale V2, where riding pleasure relies on the possibility to modulate power very precisely, a more progressive curve is critical to exploit the engine at the best.
Rapid Bike SMART2 does not just improve peak power, rather it improves the quality of power delivery thanks to a smoother climb through the revs range as well as pushing the rider toward the upper limits with a more consistent response.
This optimization is a perfect match for Ducati’s sport DNA while further enhancing its character to turn the Panigale V2 into an even more engaging machine every time the throttle is opened.
RAPID BIKE SMART2: IMPROVING SMOOTHNESS AND CONTROL FOR A STRONGER THRILL
Rapid Bike SMART2 add-on module manages the stock lambda sensors signal with the goal of optimizing the air-fuel mixture. The result is smoother power delivery and a progressive engine response: these benefits are extremely valuable on a sport-bike, where accuracy and throttle control play a crucial role. Dyno testing reveals a more continuous curve as the engine climbs toward maximum RPM to ensure smoother power delivery all the way to the peak. This translates into a greater control feeling at every throttle opening, and a better response when pushing the engine to the limit.
DYNO BYKE RESULTS
Dyno testing shows a peak rear-wheel power of 108.5 hp at 9,845 rpm for stock version, while the engine equipped with SMART2 reaches 108.6 hp at 9,701 rpm.
While the figures at top revs are similar, the overall shape of the power curve highlights the benefits of the Smart2: in the upper rev range, power delivery is smoother, and the engine reaches its peak power zone more consistently.
Rapid Bike SMART2 provides an even more progressive revs-going-up for a truly adrenaline experience.
