Kawasaki philosophy for “having fun” is fully represented by three bike models targeting three different riding styles: Z650 is a compact and light motorcycles matching any type of riding conditions, from a relaxing stroll to a blast going up a curvy mountain road; Ninja 650 resembles Z650 style, but it is more versatile with its superbike look. Finally, Versys 650 is designed to manage city traffic or to escape for the next riding adventure.
These three top selling models are equipped with a Euro5, twin-cylinder engine delivering 68 HP and 50 kW at 8,000 rpm; torque measurement is 64 Nm at 6,700 rpm. Three "sisters" ready to enjoy the benefits of RAPID BIKE fueling technology developed thanks to the expertise of our technicians.
THREE DIFFERENT WAYS TO ENTER THE RAPID BIKE WORLD
Rapid Bike technical dept. did not spare any efforts to deliver a full range of solutions fitting three different add-on modules to enhance the character of a versatile engine, and to match the needs of different riding styles. The first choice is Rapid Bike Easy: this module is equipped with a microprocessor managing the stock lambda signal to optimize the air/fuel ratio, to improve engine efficiency and eliminate torque gaps, especially at lower and medium revs.
The second solution available is Rapid Bike Evo designed to control directly fuel injection map through the management of all stock injectors (up to eight) and the corresponding air/fuel ratio; in this way, injections values are constantly modified along the entire range of power delivery curve without such changes being perceived as fueling anomalies.
Last development using Rapid Bike Racing represents the highest level of fueling technology available to reach top performance as it takes advantage of innovative technical solutions such as crankshaft signal management.
RAPID BIKE EVO UNDER THE SPOT-LIGHT
Graph below shows results of dyno test performed with Rapid Bike Evo installed on the Kawasaki Z650. Power increase starts around 4,500 rpm and continues along the entire delivery curve at full throttle, with additional benefits of closing sudden torque gaps typical of standard engine configuration. The bike reaches a maximum of 70.2 HP with a smoother handling. The overall improvement is noticeable also for solving the unpleasant “on-off” effects; that is why Rapid Bike Evo secures a new and improved experience for all different types of riders and their peculiar expectations.
